Ten Opelika Middle School Students Selected for Alabama All-State Choir

Opelika City Schools is proud to announce that ten Opelika Middle School (OMS) students have been selected for the 2025 Alabama All-State Choir, one of the most distinguished choral honors for young vocalists in the state. These talented students will join top singers from across Alabama for an elite performance opportunity this spring.
This year, OMS students dedicated countless hours to preparing for the rigorous audition process, which required mastery of multiple musical selections, advanced sight-reading, and vocal technique. Their hard work and commitment paid off with an impressive group of ten students earning a place in the All-State Choir.
“I’m incredibly proud of each of our students who auditioned this year,” said Marta Harrison, choral director at Opelika Middle School. “To have ten students selected is a remarkable achievement. These students have demonstrated outstanding dedication and musical growth, and I cannot wait to see them perform with the best of the best in Alabama.”
In the spring, the selected students will travel to Birmingham for a multi-day experience working under renowned choral clinicians, collaborating with exceptional peers from across the state, and performing in a culminating All-State concert.
